Turco BFK200 — Industrial Almond Cracking & Shell Separation Line
The Turco BFK200 is a fully integrated industrial almond cracking and shell separation line producing up to 200 kg of shelled almond kernels per hour. Designed as a single unified piece of equipment with a shared control panel, the BFK200 automates up to 98% of the cracking and kernel-separation process — dramatically reducing labour requirements and manual intervention. The line combines a large-hopper lifting conveyor, a platinum-reinforced conical almond cracker, a vibrating shell-separation sieve with fan separator, and an aspiration column for final kernel-shell separation. With the right sieve change, the same machine can also crack walnuts and hazelnuts.
Production Line Components
Variable-speed conveyor lifts almonds from the collection hopper and feeds them evenly into the cracking unit without human intervention — ensuring continuous, uninterrupted line operation.
The conical cracker body is reinforced with platinum-compound materials for extended wear life. No pre-calibration required — the conical geometry self-adjusts to almond size. Achieves 85–97% whole kernel yield depending on almond variety.
Cracked almonds discharge directly onto the vibrating sieve, which separates the output into two fractions. Each fraction passes through an aspiration column that separates shells from kernels before discharge.
All components operate from a single shared control panel. The entire line is designed as one integrated piece of equipment — simplifying operation, maintenance and operator training.
How the BFK200 Line Works
Almonds are loaded into the large-capacity hopper. The variable-speed lifting conveyor carries them up and feeds the cracking unit at a controlled, consistent rate. The platinum-reinforced conical cracker processes almonds without requiring pre-calibration by size — the conical geometry accommodates size variation naturally. Cracked output falls directly onto the vibrating sieve below, which classifies the mix into two fractions. Each fraction then passes through an aspiration (air) column that uses airflow and weight difference to separate light shells from heavier kernels. The result is separated, clean kernels ready for further processing or packing — with up to 98% of cracking and separation performed automatically.
Optional Additions
